Carol Levine- APA writing format

Carol Levine has B.A. and M.A. degrees in English Language and Literature from the University of Michigan and more than 25 years of experience as a writer, editor, English instructor, writing coach, and APA format expert. As the Writing Specialist for the University of Phoenix for 17 years, she worked extensively with students in the Master of Counseling, Master of Education, and MBA programs. In this role, she provided editorial assistance and APA format expertise to graduate students completing master’s theses and business research projects. Carol also developed and conducted numerous workshops on the use of APA format for University of Phoenix students and faculty members and earned the unofficial title of "APA Queen." Carol’s APA history began with the second edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, but she is now well versed in the “ins and outs” of the sixth edition. Along with students at the University of Phoenix, Carol has edited theses and dissertations for students at many other institutions, including Alliant International University, Argosy University, Capella University, Colorado State University, Forest Institute, New York University, Northcentral University, Nova Southeastern University, Regis University, University of North Texas, University of Tennessee, University of Texas at Austin, and Walden University.
In addition to scholarly publications such as theses and dissertations, Carol’s professional experience includes work with a wide range of formats (from grant proposals to abstracts of newspaper and medical journal articles) and subjects (from a cookbook titled Purple Sage and Other Pleasures to a 640-page medical reference book titled Dermatology Therapy: A-Z Essentials). Carol has personal content knowledge in the areas of education, psychology, workforce and economic development, and animal behavior and service-dog training.
In all of her writing and editing work, Carol focuses on accuracy, correct usage, readability, consistency, and adherence to the required format. Carol is not only an APA format expert. She is also a meticulous proofreader who takes pride in spotting errors that are overlooked by spell check programs, as well as a skilled editor with a vocabulary that enables her to complete the Sunday New York Times crossword puzzle. She is highly efficient and never misses a deadline.
