Business Writing & Editing:
Business and marketing copywriting has its own voice and its own style but still needs to reflect the uniqueness of your business! I understand that, and am quick to learn what is important in your space so that I can represent your product or service with the best possible copy.
Imagine copy that is always delivered on time and on budget & and says exactly what you want it to say! If that's what you're looking for, then you're looking for Jeannette Cezan.

Individual Editing & Coaching:
All editing projects are different. Some involve straightforward copyediting; others may entail substantive changes in organization and style. When you first contact Jeannette, she will look at your project and help you decide the services that are best for you.
While editing fiction does not require adhering to the same stringent stylistic principles as does nonfiction, there are other issues that are equally important. An editor looking at a fiction manuscript will be doing the following:
Substantive editing (looking at the flow not only of words, but also of ideas). In particular:
Does the plot work? Are there inconsistencies?
Are there any POV (point of view) problems?
Are the characters well-thought-out? Does the reader have a sense of who they are, of what they think and feel and how they are likely to act?
Is the dialogue realistic? Does it really sound like people talking?
Is there a balance between narrative and dialogue? Or is one overwhelming the other?
Jeannette can look at as much or as little of your manuscript as you'd like. She can give you as much or as little feedback on specific issues as you'd like. Your success is her success.

Feedback
While searching for a professional editor I was very fortunate to find Jeannette Cezan! I was very impressed with her knowledge and ability to not only edit my manuscript but also make it better. Jeannette went above and beyond what I expected. She provided helpful tips and education throughout the process that were very much appreciated. Not only do I recommend Jeannette Cezan but I will continue to use her services as well." (Ryan D. Eldridge, Wealth by Design, LLC)
I consider myself lucky: I found Jeannette Cezan to proofread my manuscript. While I had contacted at least six other copy-editors, Jeannette was the only one who understood the sensitive nature of editing a memoir. She held me not to her standards, but to my standards while assisting in clarifying and distilling the voice of the work. I would recommend Jeannette to anyone looking for wise and compassionate editing. (Ayoung Kim, author of the memoir Asian. Woman.
Alone.)
My experience with Jeannette was both solidly professional and very satisfying.
Editing a 600 page historical novel complete with a large appendix, chapter
notes and glossary, ain't exactly a day at the beach, if you will. But
Jeannette handled it pleasantly, astutely and efficiently. I accepted most of
her suggestions, and where I didn't we discussed the rationale and went onward.
Her quick pickup of the complex historical facts involved was nothing short of
uncanny, and I learned a great deal from her in the grammatical arena, thank
God. The book was a smashing success in its recent launch at the 23rd Annual
International Conference of Jewish Genealogical Societies in Washington DC,
where I was one of the author/speakers, and a TV mini-series is seriously being
studied by a Production ensemble. Now it's busy, busy time... and I have 14
signing/speaking dates set for the next two months, covering both coasts. All
of this is in no small part due to my support staff, largely including
Jeannette, no less an artist in her own right than her namesake, the master
Cezanne himself. You'll be in good hands. (Stuart Tower, author of the novel
The Wayfarers)
Thanks again for your help! You did a nice job finding some of those goodies...
(Suzan Erem, author of Do I Want to be a Mom?--- Jeannette did fact-checking
and research)
Great experience, and wonderful feedback. I felt like Jeannette REALLY read and
critiqued my work! (Annette Riegier, author of nonfiction "chick-lit" The Online Diaries)
Jeannette was excellent to work with, and goes above and beyond. (Dennis Consorte, novice writer)
Jeannette provided excellent writing, editing, and project management services while working on this project. She is professional and honest, and has a wonderful sense of humor which made working with her less work and more fun. We will use her services again and again. (Robert Amelio, Harvard Medical
School and Harvard School of Dental Medicine)
About the sixth day God created editors. When he saw this one, He said she was
good, and there was evening and there was morning the sixth day. (Charlie
Traffas, Chart Marketing, Inc.)
Thank you, Jeannette, for always being so cooperative! And thank you for
another great story! (Birgitta Lundblad, Corporate Communications, Alfa
Laval)
We are all very pleased with your article! And of course we would like to work
with you again! (Birgitta Forsberg, Forsberg & Forsberg reklambryâ, Pluralis)
Actually, I chose you above the other designers I considered, in part, because
I sensed that was your attitude – treating others as you want to be treated. I
am frequently appalled at just how little customer service there is any more.
Many companies can't even be bothered to communicate with customers or confirm
transactions. The fact that you are willing to maintain an ongoing dialogue and
able to provide quality service means you (and others like you) will get my
business, every time. (Joe Landwehr, publisher, Ancient Tower Press, and
instructor, Astropoetics)
Your revisions are great. You definitely removed that "translated" tone and
cleaned up some very clumsy sentences, all without changing the meaning in any
way, which is quite a challenge! I accepted all of your changes "as is." And I
will definitely be sending you the next white paper within the next few weeks.

GmbH)
