Born a military brat, Ted Rydel has lived throughout the United States and Europe for most of his life. Even after graduating high school, his addiction to traveling didn’t subside. Experiencing art and creative culture from all over the world inspired Ted to make creativity a life-long career. After graduating from the Art Institute of Dallas with a degree in visual communication, Ted worked for various advertising agencies and major corporations, including Neiman Marcus, Dieste Harmel & Partners, and Tracy Locke & DDB Needham. Eventually Ted landed a position of creative director at a Dallas vanity press, which marked the beginning of his creative path into the expressive world of book design and publishing. "It is an amazing feeling to be freely creative; each book design is its own work of art, always different from the next, always a new challenge to interpret a book visually." As creative director, Ted realized that there was a better way to help independent authors achieve their dreams of becoming published authors without all the hidden fees and contracts. Ted is advancing the world of traditional book publishing into the new age of digital press and e-books and giving authors complete control of their publishing direction and experience. "Publishing your own book is no longer a major publisher's game; no longer will you need to invest in a book agent when you can just invest in your own book."
